Main teaching and research fields

Medical studies :

The first year of study common to medicine, pharmacy, odontology and midwifery studies (PACES) does not take place in the Faculty of Medicine, but at the Faculty of Sciences in Orsay or the Faculty of Pharmacy in Châtenay-Malabry. During the PACES, students take highly competitive exams orienting them to each of the four tracks.

Students who succeed at the competitive exam for medicine then join the Faculty of Medicine in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre for the two other years of the 1st cycle and the 3 years of the 2nd cycle.

The 3rd cycle of medical studies is accessible after a national ranking examination at the end of the 6th year of medical studies. Depending on their ranking, students choose the specialty and the geographic area of their 3rd cycle.

Master specializations:
Biology and health; Ethics, science, health and society; Medical physics; Public health; Sciences of motricity.

Major research areas:
Oncology; Biotherapy, Immunology, Transplantation; Physiopathology/Targeted Therapy;
Public Health/Epidemiology; Medical Imaging; Endocrinology and Biology of Reproduction.
