Oxford Brookes, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2015, is consistently rated as one of the best of the newer universities. It ranks highly for graduate employability and its research strength continues to increase.

Its students are spread over three campuses: Headington and Harcourt Hill are each a little distance from the city centre; Wheatley is about seven miles away in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Oxford is a student-friendly city and there are all the facilities you could want in town. It is also a centre for leading industries and Brookes's links in the region mean great opportunities for work placements across all areas, from publishing and healthcare to environmental agencies and Formula One.

Fees
£9, 000 for full-time undergraduates in 2015-16.

Bursaries
Bursaries are available for all eligible UK students with a household income below £25, 000 and who are in receipt of a higher education maintenance grant. The bursary amount provided is on a sliding scale (dependent on household income and the year in which you join your course) from £1, 000-2, 000 for year one, and from £1, 750-3, 000 for years two and three.

Accommodation
Most halls have a 38-week contract, with some having up to 50-week contracts. Rents include utility bills and range from £105.48 to £191/95 per week.

Facilities
The centre for sport caters extensively for the active, while the libraries provide a well-stocked alternative. The range of support on offer includes a study advice service, Upgrade, to help you achieve your academic potential, as well as careers support that is well integrated into courses.

The university has invested significantly in its campuses in recent years and in 2014 opened the £132m John Henry Brookes Building. The building has won numerous awards for its architecture and the benefits it brings to the student experience. The University has also recently announced a further £130m investment in its campuses to ensure that students continue to benefit from innovative learning spaces.

Transport
Brookes Buses connect campuses, halls of residence and the city centre. A free bus pass is available with your place in hall and to any undergraduate on a course with fees of £9, 000 or more. Well connected to London and the rest of the south. You're not bang in the city centre at Brookes, so a bike will come in handy.
